These photos are in the family but there are no names on them.

My Grandfather John Goodwin Crowson was orphaned 3 days after birth, he was born March 2, 1876 or 1877 depends on which census you look at, all we know is that his fathers name was probably John Crowson and we think his mother's name was Sarah Jane (Goodwin) Crowson. Apparantly his father died 3 days after his birth and his mother died when he was a year old or his father died before his birth and his mother died 3 days after his birth. John Goodwin Crowson supposedly had an older sister name Lucille?, maybe a year or two older than him.

We can't find any info on them it would seem that they married and had children and died between the 1870 and 1880 census so it is hard to tie them into another family. I have searched the net looking for photos of the Moses and Asa Crowson families but haven't had any luck. I am thinking that they tie in somewhere.

After my grandfather was orphaned he was taken by America C. (DeHaven) Grogan to MO, where he showes up on a census with her family as a son. Census records show that his father John Crowson was born in AR and his mother Sarah Jane Goodwin was born in Texas.

Photograph provided by Glen & Gaylene Owen who found the photograph at a garage sale in Bonham, Texas.
These photo's were left at the Garland library and sent on to Ladonia because many of them were marked Ladonia - by many different photographers.
